A full-broadcast flake system creates a seamless, durable, and visually consistent surface that resists abrasion, stains, automotive fluids, household chemicals, and routine traffic. It is easy to clean, available in numerous color blends, and can incorporate traction-enhancing texture appropriate for the environment.
What are the primary benefits of a full-broadcast flake flooring system?
How does surface preparation affect the performance and longevity of the floor?
Proper surface preparation creates the concrete profile required for the coating system to bond effectively. Mechanical grinding also removes weak surface material, contaminants, and previous coatings that could contribute to peeling, delamination, or premature failure.
Can you repair cracks, spalling, or previously coated concrete before installation?
Yes. We evaluate the concrete and address cracks, spalling, damaged areas, and existing coatings as part of the preparation process. Repair methods are selected according to the condition and movement characteristics of the concrete, although no repair can guarantee that an active crack will never return.
How long does installation take, and when can the floor return to service?
Installation and return-to-service times depend on the system, project size, concrete condition, temperature, humidity, and intended use. We provide project-specific expectations before work begins, including when the surface can accept foot traffic, equipment, or vehicles.
Can resinous flooring systems be installed on patios and pool decks?
Yes, provided the system is designed for exterior exposure. Outdoor applications require appropriate UV-stable materials, surface preparation, drainage considerations, and a finish texture selected to improve traction in wet conditions.
How do you select the right flooring system for each environment?
We consider the substrate condition, traffic, chemical exposure, UV exposure, moisture, temperature, required traction, appearance, maintenance expectations, and return-to-service needs. These factors determine the appropriate preparation method, resin chemistry, broadcast material, and topcoat.
Are resinous flooring systems maintenance-free?
No flooring system is truly maintenance-free. Resinous floors are generally low-maintenance, but routine cleaning, prompt spill removal, and periodic inspection help preserve their appearance and performance. Maintenance requirements vary according to traffic, exposure, and surface texture.
Do you offer cove base and vertical applications for commercial facilities?
Yes. We offer resinous cove base and compatible vertical applications where a seamless transition between the floor and wall is required. These details can improve cleanability, moisture control, and sanitation in commercial and industrial environments.
